The Guide to Reducing Pain in the Back Without Surgery

Monday, October 4th, 2021

Although I am a specialist in minimally invasive back surgery, I believe surgery should only be done if all other options have failed. If the back pain continues to persist, surgery should be considered a last resort. You can watch what happens to your back. If your back problem is getting severe, you can consult a doctor for scoliosis surgery at scoliolife.com/id_ID/scoliosis-treatment.

However, if you are in pain, here are some tips that may help you delay or even avoid back surgery.

1) Visit Your Doctor!

After sustaining a back injury, the first thing you should do is seek out medical advice and receive an accurate diagnosis.

2) Rest!

Slipped disk is one of the most common back injuries. It is best to rest as soon as possible. Place pillows on your head and knees on the ground. You can also place your feet and calves on the floor. You should be as comfortable as you can on the ground. This will allow you to relax and rest your back for approximately two days.

3 ) Stretching

Only do stretches after your doctor has approved. Stretching can help reduce back pain. You may find that stretching for several months can reduce your pain if you have chronic pain. You should pay particular attention to your hamstrings and piriformis, your psoas minor, and your glutes.

4) Exercise!

Any type of exercise should be reviewed with your doctor before you begin! Your back pain can be reduced by strengthening your core and will help prevent future problems from happening. Both yoga and Pilates can help strengthen your core.

5) Discuss More Invasive Measures

Talk to your doctor about more invasive procedures and locate a Neurosurgeon who can recommend the best ones.
